Artstorm requested a compact attack drone to be deployed from a shipboard extendable launcher. Other specific requirements included unusual (non-quad) propulsion and an obviously aggressive presentation.
Experimental cyclorotor technology is readily searchable and visible – which, if implemented as shown in other articles and studies – provides a very effective solution for deploying from a slot in a ship.
Mounting a directional kinetic weapon on top differentiates it from other helo and quad drones, and is visually more aggressive.
